Following the recent successful project to design and develop a new site and user interface, Neilson have seen a dramatic 600% uplift in the number of holiday searches performed on the site; this has led to a 150% increase in web bookings. This increase in website activity resulted in 3 million page views per month during peak periods, with our capable servers delivering all pages quickly and returning search results instantly to ensure a smooth and consistent experience for all users, including those on tablets and mobiles.
Neilson have also been able to improve their visibility in Google with 2 million search engine optimised links generated automatically by the VSI-thinking content management system. These links are also unique ensuring the website is not penalised by search engines for duplicate content. To further bolster the connection with Google, the Neilson Holidays website integrates with Google Shopping, an industry first, delivering the latest availability and prices to the search engine. Neilson are always looking for ways to further improve their award winning website, and will soon be adding new features including the facility to allow holiday bookers to add Ski Extras (such as lift passes and safety equipment) to their booking simply by selecting them and entering their booking reference number. Neilson will also be adding further integration with social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest to further engage with their online audience. A My Booking area will be added in the future to allow bookers to check and amend various details about their booking before departing.
