The Thomas Cook Brochure Store developed by Cardiff web design company VSI-thinking has been a huge success over the last 3 years, helping the business save thousands of pounds in printing and distribution costs.
More than 5% of customers viewing the brochures online are doing so with a mobile or tablet device, with the monthly figure rapidly increasing at 5-10% per month. With over 3 million brochure page views online in the first three months of this year, almost 200,000 which were from mobile devices, Thomas Cook knew it was time to go mobile.
They commissioned VSI-thinking to develop a mobile version of every branded web site within the group. These were used to integrate the online brochure solution previously developed by VSI-thinking, and deliver an optimised mobile viewing experience. "The results have been fantastic with a lot of positive feedback already," enthused Chris Young, Publishing Director for Thomas Cook Group Plc. He continued: "Working with VSI-thinking has been fantastic –in just 10 weeks we have gone from concept to fully working live solution – we are delighted!".
