Anite Integration

VSIthinking have worked with Anite on reservation system integration for more than three years. The most recent project integrated Neilson Active Holidays website directly with the Anite booking engine. Customers use the website search panel to return holidays matching their criteria from general availability. The VSIthinking platform then provides middleware to sort and filter those results instantly based on additional product information stored on the VSI platform.

Throughout the project VSIthinking advised and made suggestions to Anite in order to improve the integration between the two software platforms. The result is an award winning seamless solution for Neilson customers looking to book online.

Pre Departure Email Programme

Our innovative email marketing programme developed for Neilson Active Holidays demonstrate our Vision CRM and automated marketing solutions. Customers are automatically sent personalised emails, containing information and offers specific to their destination and product. Our system even obtains prices from third party suppliers such as airport parking, specifically for a customer’s flight time, and includes this in the email with a direct link email to book that product.

Vision CRM can also deliver rule based automated email marketing for anniversary of booking, up converted quotes and up sell extras.

Our customer survey (CSQ) software provides a comprehensive solution for travel companies looking to gain value feedback on their customer experience and product performance. Linked directly from the email programme when customers return, a customer is automatically logged into a secure area where they can complete a simple survey.

Our management information systems MIS, deliver the customer feedback in statistical reports for all areas of the business to easily access. The web application allows Neilson to drill down into resorts, accommodation and specific question groups.

Web Services

The VSIthinking content management system (CMS), has a Web Service wrapper for third parties to access content. Anite use this system to include Neilson CMS content in their booking journey. Other third parties are able to extract content in a structure XML format under the control of Neilson.

Neilson also benefit for the Web Services wrapper for the Vision CRM solution. Bookings from Anite or third party brochure requests can be directly added in real-time to their CRM customer database.


The website needs to ensure customers get the holidays they want and are presented with suitable price alternatives to encourage them to book. A usability study helped inform the way user interface should be designed, giving the customer a clean search panel and interactive search results. Customers can quickly sort or filter results using simple sliders to select their personal preference to find their perfect holiday.

thinkCMS (Content Management)

Our content management solution (CMS) is been heavily modified to suit the product led architecture of the Neilson website. The hierarchy of country, resort and accommodation is used to drive the product based content pages. The content management system enables all aspects of a product to be easily setup with just a few clicks, and all the necessary pages, tabs, links, SEO titling and urls are created automatically.

Product managers can concentrate on copy and imagery, rather than have to spend time administering the website and the ecommerce team can focus on selecting product for yield rather than developing HTML.
