VSI-thinking has teamed with Thomas Cook to make browsing for a holiday easier and more enjoyable than ever before. As well as a holiday guide DVD the 2013 Thomas Cook brochures will also come with QR codes (quick response codes) printed alongside the most popular hotels. These QR codes can be scanned by a smartphone or tablet which then takes the customer through to an online video detailing the hotel. Try scanning the QR code below on your phone.
The move into mobile was prompted by some research into holiday maker's search habits; according to Google, 28% of holiday searches come from a mobile device and one third come from a tablet. But it won't just be mobile users that can access these videos as the desktop Brochure Store website also provides access to the holiday videos. This change will not only impact how customers browse for their holidays but will also have a huge impact on the print run; almost a quarter fewer brochures will be needed in comparison to last year.
